That is until this week when over 10 were ripe all at once...looks like soup will be the best way to consume them. I usually make it, eat some then freeze the rest for lunches. It doesn't last all year but it is a good way to get that fresh tomato taste in the middle of winter! I think just to bump up my stash I too will get some from the farmers! :)

Thanks for your well wishes, I really appreciate it! :)Allihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387430912583880104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-25600443469513683812012-09-04T08:47:07.602-03:002012-09-04T08:47:07.602-03:00Thanks Lisa! :)Thanks Lisa! :)Allihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387430912583880104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-25094774739536581772012-09-04T08:46:34.289-03:002012-09-04T08:46:34.289-03:00This comment has been removed by the author.Allihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387430912583880104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-38003735209855899022012-09-04T08:46:23.524-03:002012-09-04T08:46:23.524-03:00I have a feeling after my defense there will be a ...I have a feeling after my defense there will be a celebratory dinner. My supervisor and I are great friends so I think that played a role in her choice of gift. :)

They are mums and although the leaves have now faded (it has been 2 weeks) the flowers are still going strong.Allihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387430912583880104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-10951063158801063412012-09-03T23:57:29.351-03:002012-09-03T23:57:29.351-03:00Congratulations !!! We won't have enough to can this year but I'm going to buy some from a local farmer so I can make and can tomato sauce this year. Four months are going to go by so fast; best of luck with this huge project you've been working so hard on.Vickie LeBlanchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14127867994907548280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-59884766631048072802012-09-03T18:43:48.827-03:002012-09-03T18:43:48.827-03:00congratulations!!!!congratulations!!!!Eco Yoginihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10693080137196812405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6365018444592679584.post-67167568048293176982012-09-03T16:30:19.051-03:002012-09-03T16:30:19.051-03:00Congratulations on passing your oral exam with fly...Congratulations on passing your oral exam with flying colors!!! Your supervisor is awfully nice. My husband takes his students out for a celebratory lunch afterward, but no champaign and flowers. ;) Granted, he never buys me those either, so it'd be out of character for him. LOL!

Are those mums? They sure are pretty.

Lucky you on your tomato bounty. It's been our worst year ever for tomatoes. It's probably due to us having some extreme heat for a while during the time when the plants would be fruiting. Everything else did well though so I can't complain. We still have tons of tomato sauce that we canned last year (a bumper crop year) so we won't be running out.Teresa Robesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03848939225552527941noreply@blogger.com
